Lisi – the best friend for everyone
Valija Zinck, the author of “Penelope and the Sparkling Red Magic” has written a wonderfully light story about friendship and sticking together for readers aged 6 +. Lisi likes to write stories, and she would just love to have her own dog. But unfortunately, Lisi’s father is not a big fan of dogs, and so, Lisi wants to at least win her school’s story writing contest and spend an adventure weekend on a farm. She is supposed to write about an “animal adventure”, but if you don’t have a pet, that’s easier said than done. Together with her best friend Lara, Lisi sets out to look for her own animal adventure. But all she sees are boring cows in the meadows, and dogs pulling on their leash when taken for a walk ... Before Lisi finally experiences a beautiful animal adventure, there is a lot of laughing, sharing of whispered secrets, and getting into a scuffle with the boys next door.
