Lisa Tetzner’s great »Odyssey of a Youth« began in 1931 with the children in a big Berlin apartment block who were as thick as thieves. In the final volume we learn of Hans Suter, the son of a Swiss concert violinist, and his adventures bringing Lukas, a Jewish German, and Pascal, a French boy, to Switzerland. Paul Richter, former Hitler Youth member who experienced the horror and terror of war, finds his way to Switzerland as well. Apart from that we meet Erwin again who returns to Germany through England to find house no. 67 bombed. The book throws a positive light on the »new« people, who have learnt how to resist war and dictators.
