Barnaby, Devil from the Bin

  • Anger management for beginners
  • Lots of humour for boys and girls aged 8+

Jan-Ole, an only child nearing his tenth birthday, is used to always getting everything he wants. And when he doesn't, Jan-Ole gets really angry! Everyone is actually a bit scared of his tantrums. But his well-meaning parents nevertheless don't want to give him a dog for his birthday - Rolf, a cute little mongrel from the animal shelter.
However, when Jan-Ole's world seems to be turning on its head, a peculiar event unfolds, introducing a clay creation named Barnaby into his life.
Unexpectedly reborn from a discarded clay figurine he once crafted is Barnaby—a genuine Tasmanian devil in his true form. Unlike the endearing dog Rolf Jan-Ole had yearned for, Barnaby is petulant and troublesome, pushing Jan-Ole's patience to its limit.
Constantly yearning for meat and never failing to voice his loud opinions, Barnaby turns Jan-Ole's life into a roller coaster of one calamity after another. So unfair, as this time it's really not Jan-Ole who's messing things up ...
An enchanting read for boys and girls about an unsuspecting troublemaker who finally encounters a worthy adversary.
