Childhood - How Our Mother Saved Us From The Nazis

  •  A very special book
  • Autobiographical story of two Jewish children sent to Sweden and safety in 1939
  • With colourful woodcuts by Brazilian artist Tita do Rêgo Silva

The actress, columnist, court reporter and author Peggy Parnass tells the story of her life as a child in this moving book: In 1939, she and her four-year-old brother were sent by her mother to Stockholm, which she considered a safe place for her two children. The children never saw their parents again. They were murdered by the Nazis in Treblinka.

The brightly colourful woodcuts by the Brazilian artist Tita do Rêgo Silva stand in contrast with the content and reinforce its intensity.
