Life in an Autocracy of Hygiene

15-year-old Shiloh is a resident of Cleanland, a country which successfully protects its inhabitants from all kinds of infectious diseases. It is normal for her to wear protective gear wherever she goes, to talk to her elderly grandmother through a glass wall only and to have her vital signs monitored around the clock: it makes her feel safe and also, she has nothing to hide. It does not matter to her either that she can only interact with one registered friend.

But what if you fall in love with someone you‘re not supposed to fall in love with? What if you break the rules, or somebody you are close to does? Suddenly nothing is as natural as it used to be, and Shiloh has to make a decision.
