Wobble

  • Cheeky humour, makes you cringe
  • With many b/w illustrations
  • For boys and girls aged 9 +

Akim can’t believe his eyes when something (or someone?) resembling a heap of jelly-like slime suddenly appears on their doorstep, introducing himself as “Wobble”. The new family member changes shape almost as often as he changes his mind, devours a lot of rubbish … and doesn’t think much of books in which a fantastic creature appears and messes up the main character’s life. Even though that’s exactly what’s happening to Akim now! Wobble forces Akim to stand up to Norbert, a boy who has been bullying him at school, and generally supports Akim to become more self-reliant. Their relationship and magical adventures enable Akim to rise above the stresses of everyday life and boost his self-confidence. Combines realistic school and life experiences with the fantastical elements introduced by Wobble – humour, suspense and emotional depth are closely interwoven in this book.

Mars-Leo Frei

When Mars-Leo shakes up letters, the most amazing things come out. For example, a new name for the multi-award-winning author Mario Fesler, or books full of suspense, humor, and quirky characters. And if the result is just incomprehensible gibberish—which is usually the case, of course—then he simply shakes again.
