Mario Giordano wurde 1963 in München geboren, studierte Psychologie und Philosophie in Düsseldorf und lebt derzeit in Berlin. Seit 1992 schreibt er Kinder- und Jugendbücher, Romane, Kurzgeschichten, Hörspiele und Drehbücher. Seine Bücher wurden bereits mehrfach verfilmt.

Klaus Ensikat

Klaus Ensikat, geboren 1937 in Berlin, ist für seine Illustrationen mehrfach ausgezeichnet worden, unter anderem 1996 mit der »Hans-Christian-Andersen-Medaille« und 1997 mit dem Deutschen Jugendbuchpreis für sein Gesamtwerk. Er gilt als »ungekrönter König der deutschen Buchillustrationen«. Zuletzt erschien bei S. Fischer der von ihm illustrierte Band »Ein Land, genannt die DDR«.
