Katja Brandis was born in 1970. She studied American, English and German language and literature and worked as a journalist. She has been writing since her childhood and has published many stories, novels, and non-fiction books for young readers, the bestselling series “Woodwalkers” and “Seawalkers”, among others. She lives with her husband, son, and two cats near Munich.

Fréderic Bertrand studied Illustration, Animation, Monsterology and Beverage Sciences at the University of the Arts Bremen. He has been working on children’s books in his lab in Berlin for a while now.
