Unique

  • Based on personal experience: the author is the father of a son who lives with a brain tumour
  • Meets children's curious questions with honest answers
  • Gives families and children a voice and promotes tolerant coexistence

Children initially approach people with disabilities with curiosity and openness. Nevertheless, many children's questions remain unanswered due to the fear, shame and self-consciousness of adults. Children's book author, grief counsellor and father Henrick Clausing opens the doors to family life with disabilities and explains inclusion, technical equipment, integration assistants and participation in a sensitive and vivid way. The focus is on families, children and siblings, who vividly describe their colourful, happy, challenging and often completely normal everyday lives.
