On his way home from school, Jona finds an abandoned dog limping through the bushes. Without further ado, Jona takes the sweet four-legged friend home with him. But his parents are against pets! Fortunately, there is the Sunflower Animal Sanctuary, with its funny residents and the cheerful girl Lena. The new home seems perfect! But Jona finds it very difficult to part with his new four-legged friend. When the idea of sponsorship comes up, however, his sadness gives way to pure anticipation...
