Lena Hesse hat Illustration und Grafikdesign an der Fachhochschule Münster und an der Escuela de Arte y Diseño in Valencia studiert. Heute hat sie ihren Lebensmittelpunkt in Berlin und einen Zweitwohnsitz in einem dunkelblauen Kastenwagen, der Walfisch genannt wird. In ihrer Freizeit fährt sie damit gern ans Meer und geht surfen.
